The variety of happenings going on in town this stretch of the calendar is pretty darn impressive, if you ask us, and our Marriott Autograph Collection hotel puts it all at your fingertips.

Here’s a look at some of the spring events you won’t want to miss while kicking back in the lap of luxury here at The Union Station Nashville Yards!

Music City Irish Fest: Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day 2024, Nashville-Style

It likely comes as no surprise that Nashville—not only the international capital of country music but also a superlative hub of live music in general—makes a downright fabulous place to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. But Music City’s “cred” in this department goes beyond foot-stamping tunes: A pair of Irishmen, John Donelson and James Robertson, were among the formative figures in its establishment back in the frontier days of 1819.

From March 10th through March 17th—the latter date being St. Patrick’s Day itself—Music City Irish Fest celebrates the Emerald Isle and the immeasurably rich Irish-American heritage all across Nashville.

There are live shows aplenty, needless to say. On Thursday, March 14th, for example, the lauded Irish Tenors—Anthony Kearns, Ronan Tynan, and Deelan Kelly—take the stage with the Nashville Symphony at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center, performing such old and new classics as “Danny Boy,” “Field of Athenry,” and “Fairytale of New York” (R.I.P. Shane Macgowan!). The next evening, the Grand Ole Opry hosts its annual St. Patrick’s Day soiree, with the wonderful Nashville Irish Step Dancers part of the proceedings (which kick off at 7 PM).

Other Music City Irish Fest 2024 events include the family-friendly 2nd Annual St. Patrick’s in Five Points Parade on Saturday, March 16th and a panel discussion titled Celtic & Country Music Connections With Altan and Jerry Douglas at the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum on Sunday, March 17th.

Cheekwood in Bloom: Belle Fleurs

From March 9th through April 14th, one of Nashville’s defining historical (and botanical) landmarks, Cheekwood Estate & Gardens, is marking spring with its Belle Fleurs festival, featuring French garden design-inspired installations and some 250,000 or so tulip bulbs!

Live music—everything from jazz to bluegrass—will also be part of the multifaceted bloom-full celebration.

2024 Tin Pan South Songwriters Festival

The 32rd Annual Tin Pan South Songwriters Festival marks another fabulous edition of what’s widely regarded as the biggest event of its kind—a tunesmithing-focused showcase—in the world.

Taking place April 2nd through April 6th, Tin Pan South musters the talents of 400-plus songwriters and performers, who’ll be putting on close to 100 shows at multiple venues across the city—from The Bluebird Cafe and The Station Inn to The Lounge at City Winery.

East Nashville Beer Festival

Do you subscribe to the succor of the suds? Are you passionate about pilsner, invigorated by IPAs, sold on stouts, or fanatic about farmhouse ales? Well, if so, you’ll want to set yourself up at The Union Station Nashville Yards this spring and line up for the brew-y goodness of the East Nashville Beer Festival, which takes place on Saturday, April 13th at East Park.

Craft breweries from near and far will be participating in this beer lover’s dream come true, including Blackstone Brewing Co., Soul & Spirits Brewery, Marble Fox Brewing Co., Common John Brewing Co., Honeytree Meadery, Yazoo Brewing Co., and Tennessee Brew Works—to name but a few. Expect better than 150 different beers to try, live music for entertainment, and plenty of food trucks!

The Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival

The same day as the East Nashville Beer Festival, you can steer your way to Nashville Public Square Park and revel in flowery fabulousness at the 2024 Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival! This event highlights the bond between Music City, USA and Japan, a bond that’s magnificently manifested by the thousand-odd Japanese cherry trees gifted to Nashville on the occasion of the Japanese Consulate-General for the South-Central United States moving its headquarters here back in 2008.

There’ll be lots of showcasing of Japanese arts and culture on hand during the festival, plus a walking tour of the spectacular blooming cherries led by Yoichi Matsumoto, who serves as the Consul-General of Japan for the city.

The Nashville Comedy Festival

If you feel like laughing, we’ve got good news for you: You can combine a pampered stay here at our Marriott Autograph Collection hotel in Nashville Yards with a smorgasbord of live comedy courtesy of the 2024 Nashville Comedy Festival!

Taking place all around the city at multiple fine venues from Friday, April 12th through Sunday, April 21st, this 10th iteration of the festival is, as usual, bringing a formidable roster of comedians to the city: everyone from Leslie Liao and Lewis Black to Tim Robinson (of I Think You Should Leave fame).
