Luxury Hotel for Nashville Events in May

Ah, springtime in Nashville—it really, truly doesn’t get much better! And with a boutique, bespoke room or suite here at The Union Station Nashville Yards right on Broadway, you’ll have impeccable luxury accommodations to call your own while you enjoy all the season has to offer.

Here are a few of the happenings on tap for the marvelous month of May—which, mind you, is knocking at the door as we speak…

The Tennessee Craft Fair

A smorgasbord of creative goodness and beauty awaits you on the Great Lawn of Centennial Park, right by the Parthenon, at the 2022 Tennessee Craft Fair. Taking place Friday, May 6th through Sunday, May 8th, this wonderful event will see a whole host of local artists and craftspeople displaying and selling their wares: everything from pottery and jewelry to paintings, glasswork, photographs, and furniture. Don’t miss it!

Musicians Corner

Also at Centennial Park, this free concert series kicks off on Friday, May 6th—the very same opening day as the Tennessee Craft Fair—and runs through Saturday, June 25th. From 5 to 9 PM, enjoy fantastic live tunes from local musicians alongside eats from local trucks and no shortage of thirst-quenching libations, from craft brews to wine and cocktails. This is a great option for families as well as any and all music lovers, given the kid-friendly activities on offer.

The Iroquois Steeplechase

One of Nashville’s signature springtime events, the Iroquois Steeplechase has been going strong since way back in 1941. This year’s race, featuring (per usual) absolutely world-class horses and riders, goes down on Saturday, May 14th on the time-honored, three-mile turf track in Percy Warner Park. Deck yourself out and mingle with Music City’s best-dressed spectators for this defining happening, the name of which honors the very first horse bred in the U.S. to win the English Derby. (Iroquois went on to call Nashville’s Belle Meade Plantation home for his retirement stud days.)
