Spring 2024 Events in Nashville

The events calendar this time of year is downright stacked. Here are some (and only some, mind you) of the goings-on around town this spring.

Bloom-full Celebrations at Cheekwood Estate & Gardens

Nothing says springtime like flowers, right? Head over to the historic Cheekwood Estate & Gardens, one of Nashville’s premier attractions, for an extended showcase of blossomy goodness that’ll really get you in the vernal mood.

That showcase kicks off before spring proper even officially arrives with Orchids at Cheekwood (February 10th through March 10th), which turns the Cheekwood Mansion Loggia and the Botanic Hall atrium into gorgeous tropical dreamscapes of extravagant orchids.

And from March 9th through April 14th, the French-inflected celebration of Cheekwood in Bloom: Belle Fleurs will dazzle with its lovely expanses of tulips, with opportunities to savor French delicacies and enjoy live music.

The Tennessee Tulip Festival at Lucky Ladd Farms

Speaking of tulips, better than 700,000 bulbs will be putting on quite the spring show at the Tennessee Tulip Festival, which takes place March 16th through April 14th at the biggest u-pick tulip farm in the Southeast, Lucky Ladd Farms, less than an hour’s drive from The Union Station Nashville Yards.

The blooms are the main attraction, but there’s plenty of family-friendly fun going on during the festival as well, including live music, hot air balloon lifts, and Easter egg hunts.

Music City Irish Fest

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in full-on style at Music City Irish Fest, which hums along with green-swaddled revelry at multiple venues throughout Nashville from March 14th to March 17th (St. Paddy’s Day proper). Enjoy Irish music, dance, eats, and beverages, Guinness (naturally) included.

Tin Pan South Songwriters Festival

Considered the largest event of its kind in the world, the Tin Pan South Songwriters Festival brings better than 400 performers and songsmiths to multiple venues around Music City, including such fabled shrines of tune-age as the Bluebird Cafe and the Station Inn.

The Nashville Songwriters Association International presents Tin Pan South this year from April 2nd through April 6th.

The Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival

Taking place on Saturday, April 13th, the Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival celebrates the friendship between Music City and the nation of Japan. That friendship comes beautifully symbolized in the 1,000 Japanese cherry trees that were gifted to Nashville when the Japanese Consulate-General for the South-Central United States moved its headquarters to Music City in 2008, and then planted in the decade following.

Anchored by entertainment and vendors in Nashville Public Square Park—where you can enjoy everything from musical performances and martial arts to Sumo Suit Wrestling and the Pups in Pink Parade—the Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival includes a Cherry Blossom Walk led by Nashville’s Consul-General of Japan, Yoichi Matsumoto.

The Nashville Comedy Festival

Get your springtime yuks on at the Nashville Comedy Festival, which’ll feature a whole posse of some very funny folks at multiple stages around town from April 12th through the 21st. Among this year’s performers are Leanne Morgan, Tom Segura, Lewis Black, Deon Cole, Tim Robinson, and Leslie Liao.

Record Store Day

Check out exclusive releases from major artists and enjoy in-store performances and other events on April 20th for Record Store Day, a giant love letter to independent record shops nationwide.

Needless to say, Nashville comes very well represented in this department, and so you’ll be spoiled for choices for experiencing Record Store Day festivities locally—from Vinyl Tap (2038 Greenwood Ave) and Alison’s Record Shop (994A Davidson Dr) to Jack White and company’s Third Man Records & Novelties (623 7th Ave S).
