Our Marriott Autograph Collection hotel calls home one of Music City’s most exciting and vibrant districts: Nashville Yards, gateway to Downtown Nashville and developing into very much its own hotspot.
The Union Station provides one of this up-and-coming mixed-use development’s architectural linchpins, and stands equally as a modern hospitality leader in this new, cutting-edge district and a proud “throwback” to Gilded Age-era Nashville.
The Ongoing Emergence of Nashville Yards
Covering some 18 acres, Nashville Yards is rapidly emerging as a visionary mixed-use district—one we’re certainly very proud to be a part of here at The Union Station Nashville Yards! Its mix of business, retail, hospitality, residential, dining, and entertainment development will also encompass more than seven acres of greenspace and pedestrian-friendly thoroughfares.

The Union Station Nashville Yards: One of Music City’s Defining Historical Landmarks
A luxury hotel since 1986, The Union Station Nashville Yards boasts a history going way back beyond that. Our building opened back in 1901 as a terminal along the Class I Louisville & Nashville (L&N) Railroad, which chugged away from the mid-19th century all the way till the early 1980s. (The Union Station terminal closed in 1979.)
The Union Station’s a genuine architectural marvel, boasting a heavy-stone Neo-Romanesque (Richardsonian-Romanesque) style. Our beautifully preserved heritage comes reflected by our listing on the National Register of Historic Places and our membership in the National Trust for Historic Preservation’s Historical Hotels of America.
Overnight guests and visitors alike marvel at our clock tower, hosting a statue of the Roman god Mercury, and our sublime four-story grand lobby, overhung by a barrel-vaulted ceiling boasting century-old luminous prism stained glass and further marked by marble floors, limestone fireplaces, and bas-relief panels.
Careful renovations and ambitious upgrades ensure we’re always offering our guests the very finest in luxury boutique hospitality—up to the standards of the premier vision of the Nashville Yards development—while honoring our architectural legacy and deep-rooted history.
